imToken supports two formats of BCH addresses
- CashAddr: starts with “bitcoincash”
- Legacy: starts with “1”
Since some exchanges do not support the CashAddr type address, you will get the error “Invalid Wallet Address” when withdrawing BCH from the exchange to your imToken wallet.
But don’t worry, you can fix this by switching addresses within your imToken wallet. The steps are as follows.
- Open the BCH wallet and click on the address starting with “bitcoincash”
- Click "Legacy" to switch to the address starting with “1”
- Enter the address into the exchange to withdraw BCH
- Done!
Note:The imToken BCH wallet token page displays CashAddr type addresses by default. Since tokens in CashAddr and Legacy BCH wallet addresses are interoperable, receipts you make using Legacy type addresses will also be displayed normally in the token page.
