Every change to the Polkadot chain takes the form of a referendum which you - as a user - can vote on. Below, we show you how to vote for Polkadot referenda.

First, open your imToken app and open any of your DOT wallets.

Click on Vote to open the Voting interface.

Once in the voting interface, you can see referenda at all stages of its lifecycle: Open referenda as well as proposed referenda and council motions.

To vote on an open referendum, click the Vote button and press Aya to agree or Nya to disagree with the proposed changes.

In addition, you can also click Second on Democracy Proposed Referenda to indicate your backing for the proposal. The more voters back a proposal, the higher the chances of it coming up for vote next.
